Meet The Team

Mike Murphy

Trainer

Mike was a leading City Analyst and he set up Mike Murphy Racing in 2007 following a number of years of ownership and having ridden as an Amateur. Having initially divided his time between his City work and the racing stables Mike retired from his analytical duties in 2014 to concentrate on developing the racing stables. From inception the strategy has been to develop excellent facilities and experienced staff and the yard can boast both. Mike’s wife, Denise, is the racing secretary and is responsible for the book keeping and ensuring we are compliant with the ever increasing rules and regulations governing the sport.

Michael Keady

Michael Keady has joined the team as my assistant trainer after spending two very successful years overseeing Andrew Reid's London based racing operation. Prior to this Michael has served as head lad to top northern based trainer Brian Ellison, pupil assistant to Dubai World Cup winning trainer Graham Motion, based in Florida, USA and also worked under top French jumps trainer J Bertran de Balanda.

Hugo is an excellent lightweight rider and has lots of experience with young stock. He is also our main gallop man and takes great pride in ensuring a first class surface.
